Who We Are

Mission of LRC

The initials of our congregation's name are LRC. We use them as an acronym to describe our mission. Lakeland Reformed Church is God's people.

Learning Reaching Caring

  • We Learn through Christian education as a means to equip and motivate us to understand the Scriptures, use our spiritual gifts, interpret our past and see God's vision for our future.
  • We Reach out to share the Good News of Jesus' love and redemption, our hope which is eternal, and the free gift of God's Grace which is available to everyone. We are empowered by the Holy Spirit who gives special gifts to each believer to be used for the furtherance of His Kingdom, here among us and through the world.
  • We Care for each other and for our world, both locally and abroad. We respond to His Grace by caring for peoples' basic needs of food, clothing, shelter, guidance, and health care, using the resources which He has entrusted to us.

Lakeland Reformed Church belongs to the Classis of Southwest Michigan (www.swmiclassis.org) and the Reformed Church of America (RCA) (rca.org).
